Avalokiteshvara Retreat 2018
The main day of Saga Dawa is Tuesday May 29th
In the fall of 1991 the Venerable Yangthang Tulku Rinpoche visited the USA at the request of and invitation by Gyaltrul Rinpoche. Yangthang Rinpoche is the immediate reincarnation of Dorje Dechen Lingpa, the revealer of this particular Avalokiteshvara terma practice. As one of the inconceivably great treasure revealers of Eastern Tibet, Dhomang Terchen is highly regarded by the greatest Lamas and Tertons of this century.
Lama Lobtsul received the empowerment and transmission from The Venerable Yangthang Rinpoche in 2013. Both Yangthang Rinpoche and Gyaltrul Rinpoche requested that Lama Lobtsul lead this Avalokiteshvara retreat in Austin. The first Avalokiteshvara retreat led by Lama Lobtsul was in 2013 and has been annually held at PPOL since that date.
